Skaps contracts another nonwoven line

Skaps Industries, based in Athens, Ga., a geotextile manufacturer and fabricator of geosynthetic and nonwoven drainage products for environmental and civil use, has contracted NSC Nonwoven to provide its equipment for a needlepunching line providing geotextiles and other products to their markets, according to a news release from NSC.

The decision to purchase this line is based on continuing growth for Skaps and is the second from NSC within the last three years.

The line includes Thibeau Excelle batt, including IsoProDyn and the new A.C.S. system for high-speed cross lapping. The line will be completed with three Asselin needlepunched looms, the release stated.

Manufacturing equipment will be installed at the Skaps plant in Athens.

All after-sales service and support is provided by NSC-USA located in Fort Mill, S.C.
