News | January 12, 2011 | By:

CETCO, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMCOL Intl. Corp., has added Dennis G. Grubb, Ph.D., P.E. to the newly created dual directorship of Environmental Technology and Sustainable Geotechnics.

In a Jan. 10 press release, the company said that “Grubb will expand CETCO’s capabilities to assist clients with leveraging opportunities related to the beneficial reuse of industrial byproduct and recycled materials.”

The release said several of these opportunities pertain to environmental remediation itself and these activities will be offered in conjunction with other company and construction services.

“Dennis was championing the concept of beneficial reuse years before nearly anybody else had even heard of it and he is indisputably one of the most knowledgeable and experienced experts in this emerging arena,” said Archie Filshill, president of CETCO Contracting Services Co.

According to Filshill, Grubb has started meeting with clients on green/sustainable remediation applications.

“We welcome every opportunity to bring cutting edge expertise to bear against real world client remediation challenges,” said Grubb.
